Michele Bachmann Claims Gay People Are ‘Bullying Americans’
Michele Bachmann, the creator of the Tea Party, has recently said she is sick and tired of all the gays who “bully the American people”.
In an interview with conservative radio host, Lars Larson, at last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference, Bachmann expressed her anger toward Arizona Republican governor, Jan Brewer, vetoing Arizona’s anti-gay bill, SB-1062. According to an article by The Huffington Post, the bill would have allowed businesses to refuse service to gay individuals on religious grounds. She believes the downfall of the bill illustrates how LGBT activists have “bullied” voters and politicians. She expressed her opinion by stating:
There’s nothing about gays in there. But the gay community decided to make this their measure. I think the thing that is getting a little tiresome, the gay community, they have so bullied the American people, and they’ve so intimidated politicians. The politicians fear them, so that they think they get to dictate the agenda everywhere.
Michele also expressed how she felt liberals likely wouldn’t attempt to change the U.S. Constitution to “take away” religious rights because “activist judges” and President Barack Obama will simply ignore the document instead. She continued on by stating:
He’s a lawless president who’s violating the Constitution with every executive order.
On the opposite side of the political stance, The New Civil Rights Movement reports that it is amusing that Bachmann thinks that gay people are bullying straight people. Gay people amount to 5%, possibly 10%, of the population, yet 55% of Americans support same-sex marriage. Even more support LGBT civil rights.
For most of Michele’s career, she fought against gay people and same-sex marriage, while a member of the Senate representing Minnesota. During her run, she said being involved in a gay and lesbian lifestyle is personal bondage, personal despair, and personal enslavement. However, she has said that allowing children to know about gay people is considered “child abuse”.
All of her personal views have given her a lot to deal with. First, she is set to retire her position, which is rumored to be a “forced retirement”. Second, she is facing several ethics inquiries over her use of campaign funds and other possible misdeeds. Finally, her poll numbers are actually very bad with a whopping 59% of voters having an unfavorable opinion of the three-term Congresswoman. That is six out of ten people! Presently though, she’s said that the United States needs a woman to be president, just the right one. This is a verbal attack directly against Hilary Clinton, as reported previously on The Inquisitr.
Despite all the negatives going against her, it seems that if Michele Bachmann is to go down, she will be going down kicking and screaming to the very end.
