Reese Witherspoon And Her Celeb Pals Head Out For A “Girls Weekend”
What better way for Reese to unwind after Award’s season than a good, old fashioned road trip with friends. Reese Witherspoon, and her fellow celeb buddies met up in Napa to learn how to make pasta in a two day culinary course. Reese was joined by none other than Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz, and a cadre of other Hollywood insiders. This isn’t the first time that Witherspoon has traveled with Drew and Cameron – the trio also went to Mexico about the same time last year.
The three A list actresses decided to escape the pressure of Los Angeles and unwind in wine country. Witherspoon and friends checked into The Culinary Institute of America for a two day crash course in pasta making. Besides making pasta dishes, the pals posted tons of pictures on their Instagram accounts. Reese posted the pic below with the message: “Love learning with these ladies!”
Reese tagged another photo on her Instagram account as “#girlstrip2014. In describing her trip Witherspoon recalled the rolling green hills, rest and relaxation and even a furry new sidekick, Riley, an adorable Yorkie.
It appears that a fun time was had by all, including Cameron, who posted on Instagram:
“What an amazingly delicious, educational, and ridiculously FUN time I had with these awesome ladies!!!”
While she was making her dish, Reese, 37, boasted she made tasty spinach ricotta raviolis and fresh pasta. Not only can Witherspoon act, but apparently she can cook as well.
One has to wonder where Reese and pals will go next year: Mexico last year, Napa this year, maybe skiing in the Rockies next March. It’s doubtful that Witherspoon will be checking this column for advice, but we are more than willing to dispense our wisdom.
Reese has been having tons of fun these days. After the Oscars, Witherspoon attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. She wore a much more revealing dress than we are used to from “America’s Sweetheart.” Reese’s dress was a low-cut black gown, accompanied by bright pink lipstick. She mingled with Elizabeth Banks and her How Do You Know costar, Paul Rudd. Reese met up with her husband, agent Jim Toth, at the party. While he attended the Oscars, Reese skipped out. Jim attended the Academy Awards and sat behind his CAA clients Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto, who both took home Oscars for their work in Dallas Buyers Club.
So whether it is a star studded Oscars party, or a comparably tame weekend in Napa with friends, we can see that Reese knows how to have a good time, despite her squeaky clean image.
