‘The Walking Dead’ Sneak Peek: Will The Daryl & Beth Ship Set Sail This Week?
Will the good ship “Bethyl” set sail on this week’s The Walking Dead? That’s what many Daryl Dixon/Beth Greene shippers and Walking Dead fans in general want to know.
[Warning: Spoilers Ahead]
For many fans of the hit AMC zombie drama, the Beth Greene, played by Emily Kinney and Daryl Dixon, played by Norman Reedus, ship continues to be a major storyline that has The Walking Dead fans on edge. Dubbed “Bethyl” by the internet, last week’s episode of The Walking Dead teased the possible uniting of these two characters with a quest to score some alcohol in the zombie infested woods of Georgia setting. Generally, where there’s alcohol, there’s the chance for romance, but ultimately that did not happen, leaving fans wanting by the end.
With sneak peeks and promos out for this week’s new episode of The Walking Dead, titled Alone, however, it looks like there’s more anxiety in the air for “Bethyl” shippers to get their wish. From the looks of each video, all of our favorite characters seem to be knee deep in zombies, which doesn’t leave much room for making out.
In The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 13 sneak peek for Alone, the action turns away from Beth and Daryl and instead focuses on Sasha, Bob Stookey and Maggie Greene. As the camera swings around a dense patch of fog, we find Sasha, Bob and Maggie in a fight for their lives against a swarm of zombies. Using knives and a sharpened stick to kill the zombies surrounding them, the trio – who’ve been teamed up following the devastation at their prison home at the end of The Walking Dead mid-season finale – may end up becoming a duo as towards the end of the clip, Bob looks like he’s in big zombie danger. Sasha screams his name as the sneak peek of The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 13 comes to a close.
Meanwhile, shifting over to the promo clip for The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 13, we’re bombarded by even more furious zombie attacks, this time bringing back Daryl and Beth and spotlighting their tumultuous day, fending off zombies in a graveyard. In one brief frame, you can spot “Bethyl” holding hands as Beth’s voice over says “I am not gonna leave you.” Is this implying the “Bethyl” ship will indeed come together or are The Walking Dead producers toying with us yet again?
Whether or not we ever get to see the Daryl Dixon/Beth Greene ship sail remains to be seen. Where The Walking Dead is concerned, no one is ever safe, which may leave “Bethyl” fans waiting at the docks forever.
