Jennifer Lopez And Ricky Martin Debut Latin Explosion Video
Back in 1999 Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin lead the cultural shift of Latin Pop cross over on Top 40 radio. Back then Ricky Martin had “The Cup of Life” and Lopez crooned on the track “If You Had My Love.” Both songs were never far away from each other, and while both Latin stars bumped into each other and were spoken in the same breath in the 90s, the two never collaborated on a song until now.
For the first time Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez have decided to come together to collaborate on a single called “Adrenalina.” For many that remember the two singing sensations, it sounds like a familiar mix of elements that made Lopez and Martin smash hits in the United States. For the spanish language song the two artists pulled in the talents of a drumline, and lead artist Wisin for the track.
It looks like both Lopez and Martin were brought together for the song and the video to help out Latin artist Wisin, who has his second solo album coming out while on hiatus from his Wisin & Yandel act. The video which was directed by Jessy Terrero is a high budget visual so for a second outing for Wisin, the video, as well as the inclusion of Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin is a job well done.
As for Jennifer Lopez, aside from her music, she’s been pretty busy in all areas of her life. She has returned to the judging panel of Fox’s American Idol, and it was recently announced that she’s heading to television. Although Lopez is already an established television producer, as we previously reported, she will be acting in a 13 episode FBI drama series.
The FBI drama series is a deal she struck with NBC and Ryan Seacrest for 2015. According to the initial report, it’s a 13-episode straight to order show called Shades of Blue. The crime drama will be executed produced by Seacrest and Lopez, with the Latin star set to star in it as well.
Lopez’s new series is described as, “a complex police series that centers on Harlee McCord (Lopez), a single mother and detective recruited to work undercover for the FBI’s anti-corruption task force. Part of a close-knit unit known for its conviction record, Harlee has become compromised by her colleagues — all of whom also pitch in to help her raise her daughter — and finds herself faced with the moral dilemma of working against her cop brothers in order to redeem herself.”
Looks like it isn’t bad being Jennifer Lopez.
