Jennifer Lawrence Trips, Falls At Oscars Red Carpet … Again
Jennifer Lawrence may need more practice in Stilettos after the actress fell at the Academy Awards for the second straight year.
The Best Supporting Actress nominee showed up the the Oscars on Sunday night, March 2, and within minutes was laid out on the red carpet. As Jennifer was walking in her strapless red Dior gown and high heels she tried to wave to someone but tripped and tumbled to the ground.
The awkward moment was captured by E! News cameras, with the images making the rounds on Vine and YouTube within minutes.
It was a moment reminiscent of last year’s Academy Awards, when Jennifer Lawrence again fell. The stakes were much higher last year, when Jennifer tumbled up the stairs toward the stage when going to accept her Best Actress award for the movie Silver Linings Playbook.
This could be the last of fans see of Jennifer Lawrence for a while. According to Hollywood power player Harvey Weinstein, Jennifer may be headed for a break in the industry after a few torrid years of work.
“She’s going to have a long break for a year where she won’t do anything. It’s been non-stop for her and she deserves a rest,” said Weinsten recently. “Jennifer is too nice and will do people favors and agrees to do a movie like American Hustle when she could have had a rest.”
Though Jennifer Lawrence fell to start her night at the Academy Awards, she has a chance to put a good end to it. If the 23-year-old wins the Best Supporting Actress award for her movie American Hustle, she will be the first actor in the history of the Academy Awards to win back-to-back Oscars in different categories.
