Kim Kardashian Wins A Razzie Award For Worst Supporting Actress

It is an annual tradition, dating back 86 years ago, for the best movies of the year to be honored during the Academy Awards. It is also a tradition to honor the worst movies of the year on the night before, during the annual Razzie Awards.

Last night, the 34th Razzie Awards were presented by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation. A variety of awards were given ranging from the worst film to the worst supporting actress. Some of the A-list celebrities, who won the awards, will shock you. Among those winners were Will Smith, his son Jaden Smith, Kim Kardashian, and Tyler Perry.

Movie 43 won several of the categories including: Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay. The comedy featured Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler, Anna Faris, and Kate Winslet, to name a few.

The father/son duo also won their fair share of “awards” for their film After Earth. Will took home the title of Worst Supporting Actor and Worst Screen Duo, while Jaden had the honors of being named the Worst Actor along with being included in the duo.

Kim Kardashian took home a Razzie award for the Worst Supporting Actress in Tyler Perry’s film Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, beating out Lindsay Lohan, Katherine Heigl, Lady Gaga, and Salma Hayek. “I wrote this role, Ava, which is perfect for her – a small role that she delivered, she completely, 100% delivered, and she’s hysterical. She takes every beat and every moment, and I was proud of the work she did in the movie.”

While Perry thought Kim did an excellent job playing the small part of Ava, others disagreed. Kim received some harsh criticism for her acting skills, which were described as lacking emotion and nasally. “Kim Kardashian, as nasal and awful an actress as you might imagine,” Alonso Duralde from The Wrap wrote.

“A true feat of stunt casting that’s only made all the more impressive by her inability to inject the slightest bit of emotion into her steady stream of insults,” said Jenni Miller from Hollywood.com. “Let’s just say that the question of whether the celebrity gossip maven can act is answered within 60 seconds of her cold absence of any feeling performance,” Joel D Amos of Moviefanatic.com said.
