Is Chief Keef Planning To Permanently Head Out West?

Chief Keef is planning to bid farewell to Chicago.

The rapper recently spent a fair amount of time in California during his court-ordered stay in rehab. Apparently the guy developed an affinity for the region; reports suggest Keef is planning to permanently head out west.

Before you start calling the rapper a traitor for abandoning his hometown, it’s worth noting that Chief Keef hasn’t officially addressed the rumors as of this writing. The reports originated from the folks at TMZ, and occasionally they get stuff wrong.

According to the website, Chief Keef recently completed his stint at a rehabilitation facility. Although he recently headed to Chicago to visit his daughter, reports indicate that he doesn’t intend to spend too long in the Windy City.

The rapper plans to shift his base of operations to Los Angeles so he can continue working at his recording studio. Before he can pack up and head to the West Coast, the Chief Keef will have to appear in a Chicago court for a progress report on February 28.

Now that Keef is completely finished with his stint in rehab, the rapper intends to get his career back on track. He’s reportedly planning to release his second studio album Bang 3 on March 3. The latest collection of tunes will feature a collaboration with fellow Chicago native Kanye West.

Chief Keef is hoping folks won’t judge his recent output on the past few mixtapes he’s released. The Inquisitr previously reported that the rapper isn’t exactly pleased with the quality of his previous releases.

“My last two mixtapes were mistakes. I was on promethazine, all drugged out. I was tweaking. I don’t sip the lean no more though,” he explained.

In short: Don’t hate on the guy if you walked away from Almighty So and Bang Part Two feeling less than impressed. The guy intends to make up for those mistakes with his next proper release.

In fact, the rapper hopes to increase the number of homicides in Chicago with his next studio release. He previously wrote on Instagram:
