Florida School Shooting – Reports Of Shot Fired At Lake Mary High School
A Florida school shooting may be ongoing in Lake Mary. Breaking news coverage indicates that reports of shots fired were called into the local police station. Hundreds of students can be seen quickly exiting the building. Lake Mary police officers are currently on scene and attempting to determine if an active shooting has occurred or if the 911 calls are part of an elaborate school shooting hoax. Lake Mary is northeast of Orlando.
Seminole County Sheriff’s Office deputies searched Lake Mary High School after receiving calls of shots fired at the Florida school. The law enforcement officers found nothing after searching the campus, according to local media outlet WFTV News.
The Lake Mary High School is still reportedly on lockdown. Students and staff have been evacuated as part of precautionary measures. Greenwood Lake Middle School is located next door and was also placed on lockdown.After the Code Red alert went out inside the school, some student immediately ran outside, while others hid in closets.
Seminole County deputies are now reporting that an anonymous caller phoned in a “bogus report” about an active shooting at Lake Mary High School, prompting a lockdown. Florida law enforcement officers are now investigating the shocking prank and searching for anyone involved with the stunt that terrified students, teachers, and parents.
