Zayn Malik, Liam Payne Tease New One Direction Album

Zayn Malik and Liam Payne are definitely giving One Direction fans something to talk about.

Unless the singers are currently pulling the world’s collective leg, there’s a very strong possibility that the guys are working on a batch of new music at this very moment. The folks over at Sugarscape managed to wrangle together some information about the project.

According to the website, Liam Payne dished on the new One Direction album when one of their interviewers caught him outside the bathroom at the 2014 Brit Awards. Not the classiest way to snag info, but at least they didn’t bother him inside the loo.

In addition to discussing his fiancé Perrie Ewards, Malik said he and the rest of One Direction fellas spent some quality time together working on material for the new record. However, he didn’t reveal any details about what the songs will sound like. Zayn was probably a little too concerned about getting approached by a complete stranger outside the bathroom at the Brits.

Sugarscape also pointed out that Liam Payne let some info slip about the upcoming album during a chat with Capital FM. Although the singer kept the finer details of the project under wraps, he did reveal that the group recently got together to begin work on some new tunes.

“We’ve been writing, all of us have been writing the next album. There’s another album coming out soon and it’s sounding pretty good,” Payne explained.

If recording the new One Direction album means he’ll have to spend time away from Perrie Edwards, then Zayn Malik will probably go through some serious withdrawal. The Inquisitr previously reported that the singer often has a hard time spending time away from his fiancé.

“It’s difficult to see her because obviously our schedules are crazy and stuff. But I’d do anything to see her. I’m not bothered. I’d fly 10 planes to go home and see her,” Malik explained earlier this year.

The singer continued, “My mum used to say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, and it definitely does. If you don’t get to see your girlfriend 24/7, when you do get to see her you really make the most of it.”

Although he might hate spending time away from Edwards, Zayn Malik isn’t exactly helpful when it comes to making arrangement for their wedding. The Little Mix singer recently revealed that her beau tried his best to avoid helping out with the ceremony.

“Well, he tried to get out of it. He said, ‘You know what? The wedding, it’s all about the lady.’ He went, ‘Honestly, it’s your day. You’re the princess. You go all out and then just let me know what you want,'” Edwards said.
