‘How I Met Your Mother’ Cast Presents Late Night Top 10, Reveals Finale Surprises
The How I Met Your Mother cast dropped in on Late Night with David Letterman last night to help announce the “Top Ten List”…and drop a few fake surprises in time for the show’s series finale next month.
HIMYM series regulars Neil Patick Harris, Colbie Smulders, Josh Radnor, Jason Segel and Allyson Hannigan stopped by Late Night to present the “Top Ten List” whose category, naturally, revolved around “Surprises In The How I Met Your Mother Finale.” Each cast member then read off a list of fake spoilers for the audience. Some of these spoilers included Neil Patrick Harris, who plays the ladies man Barney Stinson, reading:
“Together, Velma, Ted, Daphne, Shaggy and I crack the case of the “Arcade Arsonist.”
Colbie Smulders, who plays Canadian news anchor Robin Scherbatsky added her take at number four:
“For some reason, we’re all naked.”
Meanwhile, series star Josh Radnor may have gotten the most laughs with his observation at number three:
“Someone finally points out that I don’t sound like Bob Saget.”
How I Met Your Mother revolves around Ted Mosby, played by Josh Radnor, as he describes to his future children the story of how he met their mother, tracing the beginning to around 2005 when the show first hit the airwaves. He’s joined by his best friends Neil Patrick Harris who pays the womanizing Barney Stinson, Jason Segel who plays his former college roommate Marshall Erickson, his wife on the show Lily, played by Allyson Hannigan and Colbie Smulders who plays their Canadian news anchor friend Robin Scherbatsky.
Throughout ten seasons, HIMYM has teased the identity of the mother, before finally revealing it during last season’s finale episode. Season ten tells the final chapter and the long awaited meeting between Mosby and the mother. According to E! Online, “How I Met Your Mother [began] filming its series finale this week, wrapping next week.” In anticipation the show’s producers have taken to Twitter to voice their thanks – and sadness – over the final episodes.
We love all you guys — we’re so grateful that you have come on this journey with us. Thank you all. #HIMYM

Saying bye to Ted, Barney, Robin, Lily and Marshall will be as hard as saying bye to real people in my life (sorry, real people in my life!)
