Has Eva Mendes Dumped Ryan Gosling?
Eva Mendes has once again disappointed all the female fans of Ryan Gosling. Eva has recently told Ellen DeGeneres that all the rumors swirling around about her relationship with the hunky Gosling are not at all true. Mendes sat down with Ellen on Wednesday to chat, and addressed all the latest gossip floating around cyberspace, including her relationship status, whether she’s pregnant, and what she will be doing on Valentine’s Day.
Mendes, 39, has been dating the younger Ryan Gosling, 33, since 2011, when they met on the set of the movie they were co-starring in, The Place Beyond the Pines. In terms of a normal relationship, that may not seem like a long time, but in the world of Hollywood, three years is like an eternity. Due to this odd quirk, the media and paparazzi are quick to jump on any hint that Mendes and Gosling may be on the skids.
Regarding their relationship, there are rumors that the Hollywood power couple had called it quits around Christmas time, due to differing interests. However, the Daily Mail reports that those rumors are unfounded. The speculation had been growing though, as the couple had not been seen in public together since October of 2013. What some may call hard evidence that this rumor is just that, surfaced on February 9th, when Gosling was seen driving Mendes’ SUV through Beverly Hills. It is unlikely that Eva would loan her ride to an “ex” boyfriend!
Ellen waded into her next hard hitting interview topic when she asked Eva what she would be doing for Valentine’s Day. Aware of the rumors of her split from Gosling, Mendes joked that she would just sit around crying all day. She then reported that she would order a “deep dish pizza and watch the ‘Notebook‘”. This may be a coincidence, wink, wink, but Gosling is the star of that movie. Mendes went on, telling Ellen that she would just cry, weep.
Finally, Eva discussed the speculation that she was actually pregnant right now. This rumor started over a report that she refused to go through the scanners at LAX prior to a flight. She claimed that the reports were just ridiculous. Mendes acknowledges that she did refuse the scanners, but explained it as such:
I didn’t wanna go through the scanners at the airport, she said. You know, those X-ray scanners, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked. And not only that, but there’s a radiation aspect to it. So, I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down.
Oh, to be the lucky security agent at the airport that happens into that job!
Ellen happily played into the pregnancy speculation, asking whether Eva would like to announce whether the baby would be a boy or a girl. Mendes responded emphatically, “No, no, no!” So, for all those guys and girls hoping that Eva Mendes or Ryan Gosling are back on the market,…. You have to keep on waiting!
