Miley Cyrus’ ‘Wrecking Ball’ Inspires Several ‘Flappy Bird’ Parodies [Video]

Miley Cyrus’ hit song “Wrecking Ball” is already the subject of an outrageous number of parodies on YouTube. The singer has now infiltrated the world of Flappy Bird.

If you’re exceedingly bummed that you missed the boat on the popular game — creator Dong Nguyen recently yanked the game because it was “too addictive” — then at least you can enjoy some of the parodies the game inspired.

Since there’s apparently nothing the world loves more than “Wrecking Ball” and ridiculously difficult video games, a few people spent a bit of time mashing them together. Although some are certainly more amusing than others (we’ll let you figure that one out), they’re both inoffensive ways to kill a few minutes of your life.

The clip below features Miley Cyrus making a sudden appearance in the game when one of those pesky Super Mario Bros.-style pipes abruptly ends your aerial adventure. It’s a brief parody, but it’s amusing nonetheless.

Another Flappy Bird-infused “Wrecking Ball” parody finds the pixelated bird singing an obnoxiously manipulated version of Cyrus’ hit tune. It’s doubtful that you’ll make it all the way through the video, though it’s worth investigating if you’re into this sort of thing.

Finally, there’s a clip of two YouTubers injecting some Flappy Bird humor into the song. While it’s not the strongest parody you’re likely to find floating around the internet these days, you have to admire the guys for putting themselves out there. After, YouTube commenters are a particularly vicious bunch of degenerates.

If you’re in the market for a “Wrecking Ball” parody without suffering through Flappy Bird-oriented content, then perhaps you’ll enjoy one inspired by George Lucas’ Star Wars. Yes, some guy decided to dress up like Princess Leia — in her Return of the Jedi bikini, no less — for one of the more perplexing parodies in recent memory. And, yes, we vividly recall both Hulk Hogan and Ron Jeremy’s contributions.

However, the lightsaber is a nice touch.

Considering Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” music video has 535 million and counting, it’s highly unlikely that these are the last parodies you’ll stumble across in the next few months. Although the song arrived last year, this isn’t stopping people from putting their own humorous spin on the video. We’re not sure if this is a good or a bad thing.

What did you think about the recent Flappy Bird-powered “Wrecking Ball” parodies? Is it time for people to find something else to do with their free time?
