Demi Lovato Sends Supportive Message To Selena Gomez On Twitter
Demi Lovato wants her friend Selena Gomez to keep her head up.
Unless you’ve had better things to do with your free time in recent days, chances are you probably stumbled across an article or two regarding Gomez’s two-week stint in rehab. One person who can’t wait for Selena to get back on her feet is Demi Lovato.
To prove that she’s in the former Wizards of Waverly Place star’s corner through thick and thin, the singer issued an incredibly kind and supportive message on Twitter. In short: Selena is incredibly brave for seeking help with her problem.

Weakness is living in denial. Only the strongest people ask for help.

According to the folks over at In Touch Weekly, it was Demi Lovato who talked Selena Gomez into seeking treatment at a rehabilitation facility. However, keep in mind that this juicy bit of gossip arrived courtesy of an anonymous source.
“Demi helped her find the strength to do it. Demi told her it’s OK to be honest about having a problem. They’ve really bonded over their issues,” the insider dished.
Since everyone and their uncle has a theory about why Gomez decided to take a trip to rehab — rumors have suggested everything from drugs to Justin Bieber — the singer decided to let everyone know she’s doing just fine following her stint in rehab. However, she kept the reasons for her treatment under wraps.
“I’ve done everything I could to the best of my ability. Thank you for the unconditional love and cyber hugs. You inspire me,” she recently posted on Instagram. Check out a pic of Gomez hanging out on a boat below.
Although Demi Lovato is extremely proud of her friend for seeking help, apparently that door swings both ways. The Inquisitr previously reported that Gomez was very happy that the former Sonny with a Chance star decided to get treatment for addiction.
“I’m very proud of Demi and her being able to accept the challenges she went through, but also for staying a good role model to people who do struggle with the things that she’s gone through,” Gomez explained.
She continued, “I’ve always been taught that you are who you surround yourself with. So if you surround yourself with good positive people you can only do good things for them and they can only do good things for you.”
Even if the rest of the world won’t leave them alone, at least Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have each other to lean on during rough times.
