House of Cards star Robin Wright just recently opened up about how hard it has been to move on from her divorce from Sean Penn , her new relationship with Ben Foster, and she even admits having a “sprinkle” of Botox each year.
Penn and Wright were married for 20 years before divorcing in 2010. They have two children together Dylan and Hopper, which is the main reason that Wright felt obligated to stay with him for all those years. In an interview with The Telegraph , Wright explains the difficulty of their on-again off-again relationship.
“Divorce in and of itself, and with children, is devastating. Worse than that. One of the reasons why we got back together and broke up so much was trying to keep the family together… and we did that for a long time. Sean sees the kids. They see him. They see me. We’ve all got our own lives.”
As hard as it has been for Robin to move on, she definitely has. She is now engaged to producer Ben Foster, who she met on the set of Rampart in 2011 (she was starring in the movie while he produced it). Foster later asked Wright to accompany him to a poetry recital. During the same interview, Wright revealed some very shocking information… she had never been asked out on a date!
“I’d never, ever been asked out on a date before. Never. I was frickin’ married my whole life, and even before that I hadn’t been asked out.”
Soon after, Ben and Robin’s relationship simply fell into place. She says that their connection just felt right from the start. The couple has been together since their first date , and are now planning a wedding, but not before getting matching tattoos.
“Ben has an ‘R’ tattoo in the same place [on their left hands]. I’ve been so anti-tattoos my whole life. But doing this felt right because we’re not that traditional.”
Not only did Robin dish on her past and present relationships, she also revealed that she does, in fact, get Botox every now and then. Why this is a shocker, I am not sure. Apparently everybody, especially in the celebrity world, has it done.
“You bet. Everybody f***ing does it. I suppose I can’t say ‘everybody’ because I don’t know for sure, but come on… It’s just the tiniest sprinkle of Botox twice a year. I think most women do 10 units, but that freezes the face and you can’t move it. This is just one unit, and it’s just sprinkled here and there to take the edge off. Perhaps it’s not wise to put that in a magazine? But I ain’t hiding anything.”
