Huge Chavez Undergoes Surgery In Cuba

Hugo Chavez, the foreign minister of Venezuela underwent surgery while in Cuba on Friday.

Chavez was suffering from a pelvic abscess and due to the “immediate” need for attention he was treated in the country and will be able to return home to his family in Caracas in just a few short days.

According to Cuban state TV Chavez met with President Raul Castro and his close ally Fidel Castro.

The surgery is the second for Chavez in just 30 days, last month he underwent knee surgery which caused him to push his Cuba trip back to this past week and that original injury ended up becoming aggravated from his constant travel, leading to the need for Friday’s operation.
