Brock Lesnar VS Dave Batista Or Undertaker At WWE WrestleMania 30?
Will we see Brock Lesnar vs Batista as one of the main WWE WrestleMania 30 matches?
In a related reported by The Inquisitr, at one point Dwayne Johnson vs Brock Lesnar was scheduled for WrestleMania 30, but an injury to the Rock nixed those plans. While most rumors insist that we’ll see Brock Lesnar VS Undertaker some say there’s some hope the Ultimate Warrior may take him on.
So far all we know for certain about WM 30 is that John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt is mostly likely going to be one of the main events now that the CM Punk vs. Triple H match is likely canceled due to the former quitting the WWE.
Some people were not very happy with the way Dave Batista’s WWE return was handled. First the animal declared war on Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt while wearing a very metro getup, and then he went on to win the Royal Rumble.
That had Mick Foley asking aloud on Facebook whether the WWE hated its audience because they were ignoring what they really wanted. But as a followup Foley explained in more detail how he though the WWE could do right by the fans:
“The response on both Twitter and Facebook dwarfed anything I’d received in the past, and I hope WWE will recognize this unprecedented response as a sign that a little tweaking might be needed in order to save this Wrestlemania from the prospect of 75,000 people booing, turning their backs, or walking out of its main event. Last night’s comments were not meant as a knock on Dave Bautista. I like and respect Dave, and am proud of what he’s accomplished both inside and outside the ring. But Dave is intense, and unlikely to handle a heated 50/50 crowd with the same wink and a nod that has served John Cena – WWE Universe so well. Besides, we’re not looking at a spirited 50/50 response at Mania; we’re looking at the potential of something akin to a mutiny – and I think Dave deserves better than that. On the bright side, WWE has 10 weeks to make this thing right for its loyal audience – and the potential to make this Wrestlemania the most talked about and interesting of them all.”
Mostly Foley was upset because Daniel Bryan wasn’t featured. Some sites claim there is “continued talk following the Royal Rumble that he may be used in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match.” If that’s true then Batista’s talk about grabbing the title will become bluster, leaving him free to take on another opponent even though he won the Royal Rumble.
There’s also rumors that we may see the Undertaker go up against Sting if the WWE gets him back under contract. Combine this with the fact that last week’s RAW teased a Brock Lesnar, Batista matchup and it seems very likely that the Undertaker plans were tossed out of the ring. The last possibility is that the belt may end up being decided with a three-way match of Bryan vs. Orton vs. Batista. Which idea would you WWE fans prefer?
