Liam Payne, Of One Direction, Going Through Rebellious Time


Liam Payne has been known as the “good boy” in the group of young men that make up One Direction — the super successful British boy band — but many have noticed that lately he has changed into a wilder version of himself.

The 20-year-old seems to be competing with the rest of his better known band members for some of the attention and has recently gotten into a little bit of trouble with followers.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Liam felt the need to send a tweet of support to the controversial A&E show, Duck Dynasty, which created an uproar and forced the young man to defend himself.

The British heartthrob later stated that just because he supports a television show, it doesn’t mean he endorses the controversial comments made by patriarch Phil Robertson to GQ magazine, which offended many in the gay and black communities.

Without mincing words, Liam Payne blasted those who were trying to sensor his freedom of speech after a Twitter rant that left many raising eyebrows:

The uncharacteristic outburst led many to believe that Liam Payne is trying to shed his “good guy” image for a more naughty one in which he speaks his mind regardless of what others think.

More recently, he was also forced to apologize after one of his pals took a photo of him standing on the ledge of his 34th floor apartment in London.

Now magazine in the UK, spoke to Simon Cowell — who founded One Direction — and was asked to give his opinion of all the latest controversies surrounding his young stars.

A spokesperson said:

“He has a great relationship with all the boys and always keeps in close contact with them to make sure they’re OK.”

Another sign Liam Payne is going through a rebellious phase was when he recently shaved his head, got a tattoo, and had a couple of casual drinks, something he wasn’t known for in the past. On a more positive note, Liam also passed his driving test and can now drive his own car.
