Justin Bieber Gets Seahawks Super Bowl Shout Out, Wu-Tang’s Raekwon’s Advice

Is Justin Bieber “Still the small town kid,” as he wrote at the end of a tweet earlier this past week? Many have their doubts, even those rooting for him like Wu-Tang Clan’s Raekwon.

“Shorty, you got to be held accountable for the things that you do, you know what I mean,” Rae told AllHipHop when asked to give some advice to Bieber in a recent interview about his own music.

Raekwon appeared on a Kanye West remix of Bieber’s “Runaway Love” track back in 2011 alongside other artists.

“Don’t throw it all away for nothing,” he added. “People love you because they see that you have something – you can’t. You got to show them that you won’t change as a person, but you’ll grow through experiences.”

These are poignant observations at what is undeniably the most challenging time of Bieber’s life and career.

Currently battling a triple threat of driving under the influence (DUI) Icharge in Miami Beach following an alleged drag race, Bieber has also been charged with assault over an alleged attack on a Toronto limousine driver back in December.

Bieber’s lawyers have stated he is innocent of the assault charge, and he has pleaded not guilty to the DUI charge and related offenses.

In addition, the 19-year-old remains a suspect in a vandalism investigation in Los Angeles after a neighbor accused him of egging his Calabasas, CA home on January 9.

The felony vandalism and assault investigation has yet to become a formal charge, and it is reported police found no evidence linking the singer to the egging on security video seized from Bieber’s home during the raid.

After returning to his Stratford hometown last Wednesday night following his charging to stay with his father Jeremy, it was assumed Justin would lay low.

However, on Friday Bieber and a large group of friends flew into New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport for Pre-Superbowl parties.

The private plane was grounded on arrival for five hours while federal Customs and Border Protection officials assisted by drug-sniffing dogs searched it over suspicions of marijuana onboard.

No drugs were found and Bieber was later allowed to re-enter the US.

But it underscored the singer’s new status as a would-be criminal, and is likely a reaction to the recently released DUI toxicology report which revealed marijuana and Xanax were in his system at the time of his arrest.

Advising Justin to stay under the radar for the time being, Raekwon continued:

“Just be a little bit more cautious on how you do shit, you know.” He went on to say, “Don’t do your shit corny-looking. Do it in a way that people respect that you’re getting older.

“He got paper. He coolin’. He can have anything that he wants. Sometimes because of our success we let that go through our head, too.”

But Raekwon had kind words for Bieber, too. “I like him, personally. That’s my guy. I wish him the best.”

Justin and his entourage were spotted at Maxim’s “Big Weekend” Pre-Super Bowl NYC party later on Friday.

Sources report the star was denied entry to at least three other events due to his age and the controversies surrounding him.

Arriving shortly before 2am through Espaces’ back entrance and escorted to a table, party organizers reportedly placed eight security guards around Bieber’s table to ensure he wasn’t drinking alcohol.

Gothamist reported at least eyewitness say champagne arriving at the singer’s table, but that may have been for other guests with him.

Justin’s bodyguards forcibly refused to allow partygoers to take pictures of the singer, and at one point the star flipped off a paparazzo in the crowd. The moment can be seen here.

It’s reported a blonde was invited to Bieber’s table and left with the singer at the night’s 04:10 am end.

The “Baby” star posed for photos with fans in Espace’s parking area before he was whisked away.

Page Six reports the 19-year-old was seen skateboarding inside Leather & Laces Pre-Super Bowl party at the Liberty Theater.

The event was hosted by supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima in New York City.

Bieber was spotted there Sunday morning.

A eyewitness told the outlet the pop prince arrived after 3am and was escorted to a private cabana which had been cleared of alcohol.

The sources added, “Justin came with two handlers and asked party organizers if he could skate at the party.”

“Bieber left his cabana to skate through the Leather & Laces party and show off some of his skateboarding stunts.”

“As he skated back to his cabana area he took photos with other guests,” the insider added.

Later on Sunday, the singer was seen buying two iPhones 5’s for two female fans he spotted watching one of his videos at Manhattan’s Apple Store.

Although Bieber has drawn heat from over 240,000 Americans who want him deported back to Canada, some celebrities have offered support to what they see as a young person whose mistakes have been given too much focus by a page-view centric press.

The Toronto Sun quotes Brit singer-songwriter James Blunt’s recollections of over-zealous paparazzi while alluding to Bieber’s troubles.

“I think if I had cameramen following me around capturing the things that every 19 year old is doing, it would kind of f—- over the fun of being that age,” he said.

Bringing a cooler perspective to the gnashing of many, Blunt adds,

“It’s a strange world. We are the ones that read about him [Justin Bieber], and we buy the magazines and every time we do, another paparazzi goes and chases.”

Donnie Wahlberg of New Kids On The Block also tweeted his support over the weekend.

Bieber tweeted support for the Seattle Seahawks before the game.

In response the Seahawks – who went on to crush the Denver Broncos in a 43-8 win – replied:

Not a bad end to Bieber’s mostly incident free Super Bowl weekend.
