Ariana Grande Finally Confirms Split From The Wanted Singer Nathan Sykes
Ariana Grande recently confirmed her split from The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes.
Although rumors started floating around about the supposed breakup last year, both singers remained tight-lipped about the future of their relationship. However, Grande finally decided to shatter the silence and let the world know that she and Sykes are officially old news.
According to reports, DJ Showbiz Shelly decided to ask Ariana Grande about her romantic situation last weekend. Instead of simply dancing around the question and coughing up cryptic answers, the singer decided to come clean about the relationship. In short: Nathan Sykes is no longer her main squeeze.
“We broke up a little while ago but he’s a really good friend. He’s so talented. I am so glad to met him and have a friend like him in my life. He’s an amazing person. It was very civil. It was mutual… you know. He’s such a great person. I adore him and he is so talented,” the 20-year-old singer explained during the recent chat.
Unfortunately for Nathan Sykes, his split from Ariana Grande isn’t the only thing he has to deal with these days. Much to the dismay of their fans around the world, The Wanted recently announced that they are going their separate ways. The news arrived out-of-the-blue on their official Facebook page.
The band explained:
“This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.”
No word yet on how Ariana Grande feels about her ex-boyfriend’s band suddenly coming to an end. However, she did recently take a moment to address the controversy surrounding fellow pop star Justin Bieber. In her opinion, everyone should cut the kid some slack.
“I think it’s really serious. I’ve seen tweets of people making fun of the mug shot and all this stuff, and it’s so ignorant. It’s gotten to a point where I just want him to be okay. It’s this very serious thing. And it’s not just like a kid who’s, you know, screwing around. It’s dangerous. It’s very serious and upsetting,” she explained.
The singer added, “I don’t think it’s something to make fun of anymore. I don’t think it’s funny anymore… He’s a great person and a very talented boy and I want the best for him. He’s the most visible and yet isolated human being I’ve ever met.”
