Feisty Nicki Minaj Rips It Up On YG Ensemble Cut & Young Thug Remix [AUDIO]
When Nicki Minaj is coming through, the smartest of chaps know it’s best to give a wide berth or just get the hell out of the way.
Nothing is more evident of this than Nicki’s participation on YG’s “My N*gga” remix, which also features Lil Wayne (of course), Rich Homie Quan and Meek Mill. It’s been more than a decade since Ludacris made famous the phrase, “move b*tch, get out the way,” and Ms. Minaj shows just how much the times they are a’changin’ by straight up forcing her way into this track.
You n*ggas ain’t got no joints, like an injured Chris Paul, you ain’t go no point.
Of course, for the rest of her verse, Nicki switches it up to the more gender-appropriate “b*tches.”
I just come through with a couple bossy b*tches,
they get money too, they some ‘don’t cross me’ b*tches.
Flossy b*tches, Sergio Rossi b*tches.
And if we at the game then it’s floor seat, b*tches!
It’s enough to land Nicki and co. on SPIN’s Rap Songs of the Week (that’s a good thing, right?).
A brief aside: If you’re looking for a giggle with Nicki Minaj’s contributions to this track, check out the annotated version of the lyrics from Rap Genius for a literal explanation.
Of course, those aren’t the only guys Nicki’s crowding and out-louding these days. Minaj is also stealing the show on Young Thug’s remix of “Danny Glover.”
Who the f*ck told them that they was like Nicki? Oh no, b*tches didn’t!
I’m-a give b*tches a minute of shine then I’ll tell ’em good riddance.
To raise a child, it might take a village
But I would’t know cause these b*tches my sons; yes, they was, and they still is
A few lines later and NIcki’s spitting out a fresh litany of feistiness, so fresh you’ll want a tortilla (just read it).
B*tches is lyin’, they lyin’, they lyin’, they lie in they bio.
So I ain’t f*ckin’ with chickens unless I got pico de gallo.
Girls is plottin’, what more could they steal?
Tell Justin Timberlake that I am comin for Jessica Biel
Chances are even JT’s slickest suit and tie couldn’t keep his wife out of Ms. Minaj’s grasp. He might be bringing “sexy back” but she’s still the “baddest b*tch” around.
What do you think of Nicki Minaj’s work on these tracks? What’s your favorite cut by Nicki? When is she going to drop another album instead of just guesting on tracks?
