Eliza Dushku Lands ‘Torchwood’ and ‘White Collar’ Roles
It seems as if the currently tough job market hasn’t affected Eliza Dushku in any way. According to recent reports by Entertainment Weekly and the Hollywood Reporter, the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress picked just up two new gigs.
Dushku will be front and center in the upcoming online animated “motion comic” series, Torchwood: Web of Lies. Based on also soon to be released TV show Torchwood: Miracle Day, the animated show will also have voice appearances by stars John Barrowman as Capt. Jack Harkness and Eve Myles as Gwen Cooper.
Not too much is known at this time in regards to the overall plot of the comic but judging by Starz’ last motion comic work, Spartacus, you can count on it being good.
In addition to the Torchwood series, Eliza will play a guest role on USA’s comedy/drama series ‘White Collar‘. With the show approaching the kickoff of its third season, the Hollywood Reporter revealed that the actress would be starring in the ninth episode, and that her character would be “very sexy”. The show’s creator, Jeff Eastin, also let one spoiler out of the bag:
“Dushku’s character ends up having a short fling with Neal (the main character of the show)”
Eastin then went on to say:
“So far Eliza’s only committed for one episode we did it in such a way that if it works out, we could bring her back.”
Season 3 of White Collar starts Tuesday and Torchwood premiers July 8th. Set your DVRs accordingly.
