Ke$ha and Pitbull’s musical collaboration “Timber” is still an extremely popular choice with fans throughout the United States.
The tune, which arrived last year, has topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for the second week in a row. Although downloads were a little less than last week — the track reportedly sold 227,000 copies — the song is apparently still a very hot commodity at the moment.
Despite reaching number one on the Hot 100 chart once again, Ke$ha and Pitbull’s collaboration isn’t resting comfortably at the top of the Streaming, Radio, or Digital charts .
The Hot 100 chart isn’t the only place you’ll find “Timber” hanging out these days. The song also rose to the top of the Hot Rap Songs chart, a position it’s also held for two weeks.
While Ke$ha’s duet with Pitbull is currently top dog on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, the song could soon face some serious competition from another popular collaboration. Katy Perry’s latest single “Dark Horse,” which features rapper Juicy J, made its debut at number five. Expect this thing to take off like a rocket over the next few weeks.
While “Timber” is a certified hit at this stage in the game, this isn’t the first time Ke$ha and Pitbull have struck gold on the Billboard charts. While Ke$ha hit number one on three previous occasions , Pitbull rose to the top of the musical heap twice. The artists are definitely no strangers to success.
The United States isn’t the only country on the planet where “Timber” has recently found success. The Inquisitr reported earlier this month that Pitbull and Ke$ha’s collaboration climbed to the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart.
The song also found success in Ireland, Germany, and Austria. In other words, “Timber” is something of a worldwide sensation at the moment. If you haven’t heard the studio version of the song and you’re curious to see what all the fuss is about, then take a look at this video.
Unfortunately for Ke$ha, the singer is seeking treatment for an eating disorder while her song is topping the Hot 100 chart in the US. During a recent interview, Ke$ha’s mother said that the singer’s struggle with anorexia almost claimed her life .
“The doctors told me her blood pressure and sodium levels were so low, they’d never seen it that low except with someone who’d had a heart attack or stroke. They said it was a miracle she hadn’t already dropped dead on stage,” Pebe Serberg told People magazine.
