Justin Bieber Allegedly Abusing Drugs: Stop The Mocking, Time For Rehab [Report]

Justin Bieber’s apparent, erratic behavior over the last year is allegedly caused by the abuse of drugs, with those closest to him now urging the singer to seek help that includes rehab for the sake of his health and career.

If rehab is what Bieber needs and chooses, he would join a long list of celebrities who have taken that step – and in many cases – gone on to better lives. Just ask Robert Downey Jr. Others, like the late Cory Monteith, didn’t.

According to a new report from TMZ, which follows Radar Online’s, Justin is allegedly using an extensive range of drugs. It’s claimed he takes “sizzurp” — also known as “lean,” which mixes codeine, promethazine, and soda — and prescription pills including Xanax, as well as alcohol and marijuana.

“Sizzurp” is reported to be a dangerous narcotic that can cause seizures, Sleep Apnea – where a person stops breathing while asleep – and Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS), which is a rare but life-threatening reaction to taking neuroleptic agents. Symptoms include abnormal thinking, fever, stiff muscles, confusion, fast or irregular heartbeat, and sweating.

Citing “multiple, credible, connected sources” – albeit unnamed – TMZ is claiming the 19-year-old does not use cocaine and never has, but is allegedly abusing drugs to the extent that people who genuinely care about him are very worried and see rehab as necessary.

As IQ previously reported, given the mounting chaos now engulfing Justin, his age, and the evidently questionable choices in some of the company he keeps, reports of alleged drug use can’t be dismissed. It would certainly go some way to explaining how and why a kid that literally enchanted the world when he burst onto the scene in 2009, now seems transformed and is presumably unable to see his alleged problem for himself.

From mid-2012 to present, Bieber’s behavior has hit headlines with increasing frequency. Numerous reports claim his camp have been concerned for some time – now even more so, after Tuesday’s Defcon 5 police raid at his Calabasas, CA home led to an illegal drugs find.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department investigators raided the Canadian’s home to seize home security surveillance data and any possible evidence that might link him to an egg-throwing incident of which the pop singer has been accused of perpetrating by a neighbor, and which reportedly caused $20,000 in damages.

Bieber is the main suspect in a felony vandalism and assault investigation.

During the search, Justin’s friend, a rapper named Xavier “Lil Za” Smith was arrested on suspicion of felony drug possession after police allegedly came across “Molly” — a purer form of Ecstasy and the anxiety drug Xanax — “in plain view” in Lil Za’s bedroom.

Radar’s post-raid report quoted a source, as saying:

“Bieber’s people are worried that he is going to destroy his reputation and his career if he keeps up these antics,” adding, “The people who care about Justin and who are closest to him wish he would consider getting help.”

Notable red flag points in 2013 saw photos surface in the first week of January apparently showing the singer smoking pot.

The “Baby” star apologized ‘in character’ during a Saturday Night Live February episode he hosted, and the world moved on.

However, March brought more concerns during the London leg of Bieber’s infamous Believe tour. These included a one and a half late start to the opening night of his four night run at the 02 Arena, a backstage fainting spell, and an expletive-filled row with a paparazzo outside a hotel.

In April, Stockholm police spokesman Lars Bystrom revealed a small amount of drugs and a stun gun were discovered on Justin’s tour bus after a security guard’s report that marijuana wafted from it prompted a search.

Speculation over the singer’s giggly appearance in his first Instagram video touched off yet more “stoned” rumors in June, which may or may not have been misinterpreted.

In September, a pilot hired to transport Bieber and a group of pals in a private jet claimed the singer appeared high when he turned up to depart in an SUV allegedly filled with marijuana smoke.

Fast forward to November 24, during a final tour leg, one of Bieber’s entourage was arrested in Brisbane, Australia, after airport sniffer dogs detected marijuana in his baggage.

On December 17, TMZ claimed Justin emerged from a smoke-filled van when he arrived at the Burbank, Los Angeles, studios of Power 106 radio to promote his latest Journals album and then upcoming Believe film.

Amid these reports, claims of “sizzurp” use, reviewers noting “sluggish, lazy” performances from Bieber during some tour concerts, angry encounters with paparazzi, visits to a brothel and a strip club, urinating into a New York restaurant mop bucket, public spitting, underage clubbing, drinking, allegations involving reckless driving, battery, and various disputes, and a new report that an ex-bodyguard Dustin Folkes, was allegedly fired after voicing concerns to the singer’s team about his behavior — add to a now cementing view that there are serious reasons in play as opposed to “brattishness” to explain the pop prince’s troubles.

In which case, isn’t it time the daily insults and wider mocking stopped and we see Bieber as what he may be behind all the front? A teenager – yes, a rich and famous one – who is also, allegedly, in need of professional help and rehab.
