Kate Middleton Family Members Creating Headaches For British Royal Family
Kate Middleton may be the darling of Britain and the one keeping the royal line moving along, but her family may be creating some headaches for the Royal Palace.
With Kate and Prince William about embark on a tour of Australia, the first time Prince George has gone overseas, accusations have surfaced that Kate’s parents are looking to cash in off the trip.
Party Pieces, a company owned by Carole and Michael Middleton, has begun stocking and selling Australian-themed items. They claim that the decor and favors are going on sale for Australia Day, which is on January 26, but in the past Carole and Michael have seemed to tie promos on their site to big royal events, like the birth of grandson Prince George and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
While her parents are reportedly cashing in, a cousin of Kate Middleton is bringing more unwanted headlines to the Royal Palace. Recently Kate’s cousin, burlesque dancer Katrina Darling, stripped down to reveal her body art for this month’s issue of Inked magazine.
While the 23-year-old is certainly free to show off her body if she wants to, it’s still the kind of attention the royal family would rather avoid.
In the interview that accompanies the photo shoot, Katrina Darling revealed that her obsession with tattoos began when her friends went to Glastonbury music festival and she was forced to remain at home.
“I wanted to have my own rock ‘n’ roll fun, and that was when I got the little ice-cream cone on my ankle,” she said.
It was actually Kate Middleton who helped pushed Katrina on a burlesque career, although not in a direct way. After the Royal Wedding, Katrina gained quite a bit of notoriety and decided to quit her job as a banker and become a dancer instead.
