Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Lingerie Collection Unveiled By Marks & Spencer [Photos]
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s latest lingerie collection has been unveiled by Marks & Spencer just in time for Valentine’s Day.
The supermodel and actress released a vintage-inspired collection in August 2012, and they became so popular with customers that they actually went on to become the store’s bestselling lingerie line ever.
Whiteley has now posed for her latest collection, and Marks and Spencer will be hoping that she can repeat the devastating success of her last line.
The Transformers: Dark Of The Moon star also discussed the design process for the pieces, which she collaborated on with Marks & Spencer’s Soozie Jenkinson, who works at the company as the Head of Lingerie Design with a vast team.
“I send a lot of photographs of inspirations,” she admitted, “I pick up things from flea markets and vintage fairs.”
Whiteley also explained that she has the final say before they are released to the public, explaining, “I like to try everything on before it goes to production to really feel the products, see how they sit on the body, make sure that I want to wear them and really understand the cuts and fabrics.”
Rosie continued, “We wanted to create a luxurious collection of lingerie that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day and embraces a woman’s femininity making her feel utterly beautiful, whether she is treating herself or receiving a gift from her partner.”
Jenkinson also remarked, “Rosie and I put romance at the very heart of this collection, taking inspiration from the decadence and faded beauty of Rococo art and the decadent spirit of Versailles. The collection was designed with femininity in mind, and features sumptuous silks with French designed lace and new ultra light silk chiffon pieces which exude femininity.”

Last year, Whiteley also launched her own sleepwear line with Marks and Spencer too. The 26-year-old said at the time:
“Moving into sleepwear felt like a natural progression for my lingerie range for M&S. I’m so pleased with the collection and think it really epitomises the cool, relaxed way of dressing we wanted to create, whilst still keeping the luxurious and feminine feel the Rosie for Autograph brand has become known for.”
She also talked about her status as a sex symbol too, remarking:
“It’s a totally subjective opinion and not something I pay all that much attention to… I certainly don’t feel like one! I really don’t take it too seriously to be honest, but I understand that it’s part of my public image.”
