Kate Upton Nude Too Much, Claims V Magazine: Put Some Clothes On That Naked Girl?

With Kate Upton nude in pretty much everything, V Magazine is saying that all the world needs is to put some clothes on that naked girl in order to make her fit into the fashion world.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, although Sports Illustrated made Kate Upton’s nude modeling career famous with the body paint series, she’s apparently wanting to move on with her life. Upton has increasingly focused on her acting career, and The Other Woman will feature her next to Cameron Diaz. There was once even a rumor that James Bond 24 could feature Kate as a Bond girl, although so far no one has officially been cast in that role.

The feature for V magazine literally asks, “Why Can’t Kate Upton Keep Her Clothes On?” As V editor Stephan Gan explains it, the fashion world seems to like Upton with her clothing on, not off:

“Each time I saw her at a shoot, she had become a bigger and bigger star, and her physique, more and more notorious. It has always intrigued me, as I’m sure it has to most readers, how someone gets embraced by the general public for taking their clothes off and loved by the fashion world for keeping them on.”

This might explain the recent trend we started to see with Kate Upton photos last year. First, she was featured fully clothed in an Atlanta Braves uniform, and then a golf magazine had her posing with Arnold Palmer (I suppose having her naked would have given the old guy a heart attack…). Kate Upton also enjoys being compared to Marilyn Monroe, and has even done a photo shoot imitating the famous model. Upton even made a personal statement during Halloween, saying her costumes didn’t need to be partially nude or sexy.

Jezebel claims the change is mostly because the fashion world doesn’t know what to do with her:

“She also has, thus far, kept her clothes on when doing high fashion spreads because her breasty form isn’t couture enough to be accepted if she took them off. Plus-sized models who are featured in high-end magazines are usually either styled completely covered up or totally naked, as if art directors and stylists don’t know what to do with their bodies. Kate Upton very well could have fallen into a pattern of being styled nude for high fashion spreads, but she hasn’t been because she’d already set up a precedent where her nude body was a thing for men’s magazines. Fashion magazines are trying to be edgy by putting her in clothes.”

Regardless, the fashion world tends to butt heads with her, including the infamous incident with Victoria’s Secret. Despite her shift in career it’s not like Upton doesn’t enjoy modeling any more:

“I now suffer from Catalog Tourette’s. I can switch a pose like it’s no one’s business. As soon as I hear a camera click, I’m on. I tell you, it’s a serious nervous condition For me, modeling is really about competing with yourself, becoming the best you can be. The truth is that I can’t do facial expressions like [Coco Rocha] and others do. If I pull a goofy face, it doesn’t look cute; I look like a dying animal. But I guess someone likes what I am doing.”

So the answer to the title’s question is: “Because I don’t want to!” Would you rather have Kate Upton naked as a model or should she focus on her movie career?
