Katy Perry And Bruno Mars Announce Tour Dates
While you were enjoying massive fall tours like Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience and Kanye West’s Yeezy tour, the second wave in pop acts were gearing up to launch fans into the summer. Today’s top music charting artists Bruno Mars and Katy Perry have announced dates for what will most likely be the two top-selling concerts of the summer.
Perry who soared on the charts with her hit single “Roar”, announced upcoming dates for her North American Prismatic Tour as it kicks off in June. The first stop on her tour is North Carolina on the 22nd and so far expands into a 46-city dates.
Bruno Mars who has been going strong with major singles over the past two years has announced his Moonshine Jungle Tour’s second leg, which is sure to be a massive success based on previous ticket sales. The singer is currently up for four Grammys for his second album Unorthodox Jukebox. Bruno’s success continues as he will be gaining some major exposure at the Super Bowl halftime show, where he is scheduled to perform. Conveniently his Super Bowl performance will launch him into the second leg of his tour, as far as sales are concerned, as it’s a day before Oakland tickets go on sale.
Mars’ second leg will kick off on May 27 in Fresno, California and will last for 40 dates total before ending in Englewood, Colorado on August 17.
As for Katy Perry the singer recently promised that her tickets will be economically cheaper because she wants everyone to be able to afford tickets to her show. Going by the ticket sales for her San Jose show which range from $28- $150 in price, it looks like Perry is trying her hardest to keep her word, even if Ticketmaster ends up charging fees in the end.
Unlike Perry’s Teenage Dream tour it’s expected that her Prismatic Tour will be low-key and won’t have a focus on the fantastical world she brought with her colorful costumes and whipped cream shooting bra. Instead it’s been said by Perry that she’ll still bring the fun but will focus more on the personal anthem of her Prism album. Either way it sounds like it will be a pretty exciting tour given her strong sense of themes.
As for when tickets go on sale for Katy Perry’s tour, there’s a Citi card members pre-sale that starts on January 21 at citiprivatepass.com and a Facebook pre-sale that begins on January 23. Bruno Mars’ second leg will go on sale on February 3.
