And The 2014 Oscar Nominations Are: No Surprise
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced its nominations for the 2014 Academy Awards on Thursday. In case you missed the live announcement, with Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs and actor Chris Hemsworth, not to worry; we’ve got your Oscar nominees right here.
American Hustle is at the head of the 2014 pack with 10 nominations, including a nominee in each acting category. Add to that best director, editing, cinematography, original screenplay, costume design and best picture nominations. Gravity also has 10 nominations nine, shooting for best actress, director, cinematography, and best picture, plus several technical Oscars. Next, with nine nominations is 12 Years a Slave. Dallas Buyers Club, Captain Philips, and Nebraska nabbed six nominations, and The Wolf of Wall Street and Her are each up for five Oscars.
