Kate Moss Celebrates 40th Birthday, Do You Think She Looks It?

Kate Moss is 40 today! The British supermodel had come a long way in the last 26 years, and according to many people, she doesn’t look her age. So what did the gorgeous Kate do to mark the big 4-0? She posed as a bunny girl in black high heels and rabbit ears for Playboy magazine, of course!

She may have upset a few die-hard feminists in the process, but that won’t bother her too much as, at the age of 40, Kate Moss is still stunning. You may not find Kate on the catwalks much, but you can see her virtually every month promoting one new product or another.

Kate Moss is the fourth highest-paid model in the world. Forbes reported that she earned a staggering $5.7 million in 2012. She likes to keep busy in her capacity as a contributing fashion editor at Vogue in the U.K.

In her book, Kate: The Kate Moss Book, she speaks about her private life: “He told me ‘never complain, never explain’. That’s why I don’t use Twitter and things like that. I don’t want people to know what is true all the time and that’s what keeps the mystery.”

Reports in the media recently have revealed that Kate intends to make her 40th birthday party one to remember. She is planning to have the party on Necker Island, Richard Branson’s private Caribbean retreat, and a ‘Playboy’ theme is expected.

Katherine Ormerod, senior fashion editor at Grazia magazine said that Kate Moss has always had a kind of “rock and roll attitude,”

Her legendary parties and glamorous costumes make her more than just another model. Born the daughter of a barmaid and travel agent in South London, Kate always seems to have been involved with things controversial, and has never been scared of a bit of scandal in her life.

She was accused in 2009 of being a bad role model (pun intended), when she said the notorious words: “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”. Back in 2005, like many models, Kate loved partying with cocaine. She lost a number of major contracts in that year after the video of her snorting powder was released.
