Michelle Obama Turns 50, Would Consider Plastic Surgery, Botox
First Lady Michelle Obama turns 50-years-old on January 17 and in a recent interview said she wasn’t ruling out plastic surgery and even Botox as time goes by.
Speaking to People magazine for their January issue, the first lady talked about the prospect of enhancing her looks in the future.
“Women should have the freedom to do whatever they need to do to feel good about themselves. Right now, I don’t imagine that I would go that route, but I’ve also learned to never say never.”
Michelle Obama’s message to other women is simple: be healthy. She shares that she has her annual check-ups including mammograms and Pap smears and has even had a colonoscopy.
The First Lady said she doesn’t obsess about her diet, but makes sure she is eating fruits and vegetables and she also follows an exercise plan.
Michelle Obama’s campaign “Let’s Move”, that aims at reducing childhood obesity with a change in diet and exercise, is in its fifth year.
The 50-year-old has also changed how she works out, adding yoga — which gives her flexibility — to her weight training and cardio regimen.
Asked about her busy life as First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama says:
“I’ve got to keep figuring out ways to have an impact, whether as a mother or as a professional or as a mentor to other kids,” she said, adding that 15-year-old daughter Malia will be in college when she and President Barack Obama leave the White House in January 2017 and 12-year-old Sasha will follow suit a few years after that.
“At that point in life, whoa, the sky is the limit,” Mrs. Obama said.
Rumors are that President Obama is going to surprise his wife with a big bash to celebrate the big 5-0 on Saturday with a star studded event.
Valerie Jarrett, a senior White House adviser who is close friends with the Obamas, told The Associated Press:
“There’s one thing I can tell you for sure… people will move.”
Jarrett didn’t confirm or deny reports that Beyonce is one of the stars invited to perform for Michelle Obama and her guests, but the singer’s husband Jay Z will be in town for his Magna Carta tour on the weekend.
Michelle Obama is enjoying every minute of being First Lady, but the President recently let her stay a few extra days in Hawaii — where the family vacationed — so she could enjoy the sun and good company of some friends.
