CNN Reporter Randi Kaye Gets Stoned While Reporting On Colorado Marijuana Law
CNN reporter Randi Kaye did extensive research on the legalization of marijuana in Colorado, which to viewers appeared to consist of her getting stoned and talking about pot on the air.
A clip of the stoned CNN reporter has gone viral since showing up on YouTube, racking up thousands of views and getting attention across the internet.
In the report, part of CNN’s “Gone To Pot” series, Randi Kaye joined a group of people in the back of a stretch limousine Hummer as they took a tour of pot dispensaries.
As Kaye sat in the back of the smoke-filled limo, she was seen getting a “contact high” and began to laugh more and more as the segment went on. As the report ended, the group set out on a quest to find tacos after finishing off several joints and other forms of marijuana, including edibles.
“It was top notch, we did very extensive research I have to tell you,” Kaye told Anderson Cooper as she smiled.
Randi Kate admitted that as she was getting high in the limo, it grew more and more difficult to stick to her journalistic mission.
“My brain was a little fuzzy by the time I got out of there, I wasn’t thinking right and I couldn’t remember even some of the questions I wanted to ask in the interview, which has never happened to me.
“And I found things to be really funny, much funnier than I normally do,” she adds.
The law legalizing recreational marijuana in Colorado has been hugely successful, with sales of $1 million in the first day and roughly $5 million in the first week. Experts believe marijuana sales will generate as much as $600 million a year in Colorado.
But for CNN reporter Randi Kaye, getting stoned during an interview didn’t cost anything.
