Kanye West A ‘Suspect’ In Assault On Racist Man, New Details Emerge [Video]
Kanye West was officially named a “suspect” today in an attack on a teenager who hurled racial and sexual slurs at the rapper’s bride-to-be, reality TV star Kim Kardashian in Beverly Hills Monday, according to a CNN report. At the same time, new details emerged about the incident that could lead to a charge of misdemeanor battery against West.
The strange but distasteful encounter began around 12:15 Monday afternoon in Beverly Hills, outside a building at 8820 Wilshire Boulevard, which houses, among other businesses, a chiropractic office.
By the time police arrived on the scene, Kanye West had left, The Los Angeles Times reported.

According to new details reported by E! Online, Kim Kardashian arrived at the building after Kanye West, for an appointment at which both of them were supposed to be present. According to the E! Online source who gave an account of the incident, “En route into the building Kim saw a young man yelling racial slurs at the paparazzi. Kim told him he shouldn’t use racial slurs and he turned on her and verbally assaulted her.”
Fox News, who also had a source at the scene, reports that the “young man,” believed to be about 18 years old, used the words “slut” and “whore” to insult Kardashian to her face. He also called her “n***** lover,” various accounts say.
The E! Online source picked up the story from there.
“The two ended up in a stairwell where the man was in her face and continued to verbally assault her,” that source recounted. “She was genuinely scared.”
Earlier reports said that Kim Kardashian phone Kanye West to tell him what was going on. But according to the E! Online account, it actually went the other way around. Kanye West phoned his fiancé, who then let him know the upsetting situation.
Another source told the E! site that Kanye West became concerned when Kim Kardashian was late for the appointment. But once he learned the situation, he rushed to her side and “confronted” the teenager who was berating Kardashian with racial and sexual slurs.
According to the celebrity-stalking web site TMZ, the actual attack took place in a chiropractor’s office where Kanye West and Kim Kardashian followed the teenager — whose name has yet to be released. At that point, Kanye West struck the young man.
A source in the Kardashian camp told Fox News that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is “weighing her options” after being the target of the verbal assault by the teenager.
