Nicki Minaj Calls Herself A ‘Homebody,’ Spends Hours Watching Investigation Discovery
Nicki Minaj doesn’t spend a lot of her free time at parties and hanging out at clubs. In fact, the rapper insists that she enjoys lazing around watching television and doing laundry.
Although she’s known to spend quality time with scantily-clad women at strip clubs, Nicki Minaj would rather hang out at home watching shows on Investigation Discovery. When she isn’t checking out the latest mysteries on the cable network, you can probably find her doing a load of laundry. Sorry if image that shatters her mystique.
During her recent chat with Us Weekly, Minaj discussed some of her favorite pastimes. If you thought this included putting together outrageous outfits and painting the town neon red, then you’re in for a bit of a shock. Nicki is just a normal girl who chills at home when the opportunity arises.
“I’m a homebody. For one month straight, I watched ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ until I fell a sleep every night. I enjoy doing laundry. I can spend hours glued to Investigation Discovery. It’s my favorite network,” Nicki Minaj explained to the publication.
She added, “I’m the best cook on the planet. My father taught me how to make curry chicken. My go-to snack is strawberry-banana yogurt.”
Although there’s definitely plenty of things that the former American Idol judge enjoys, Minaj discussed a handful of tasks that don’t necessarily add up to a good time.
“I also hate texting and having to return emails. I can’t stand going to meetings or talking on the phone. I hate getting my nails done,” Nicki said.
There’s also something else that tends to get under Nicki Minaj’s skin these days: censorship. The rapper watched helplessly as the folks over at Universal Music removed an independently-produced remix of the track “Boss A** B****” from her official Soundcloud account. According to reports, the record label yanked the song due to its explicit content. However, you can still listen to the song on YouTube.
Around the same time, Nicki Minaj uploaded a series of racy photos to her Instagram account. One raunchy image found the rapper aggressively grabbing her boob, while another showed her sucking on two fingers. Although she didn’t say this was in response to the censorship, the timing was anything but coincidental.
