Flavor Flav Arrested For Toting Weed And Driving Smoking Fast…Or Not?

Reports claim Flavor Flav was arrested for marijuana-related chargers, and exceeding the speed limit. While it’s true he was pulled over in Valley Stream, NY yesterday morning for going 79 mph in a 55 mph zone, the headlines are little bit misleading.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the “Public Enemy” recently made news when Flavor Flav’s Chicken & Ribs recently closed for good due to unpaid bills.

The Flavorful rapper was arrested for speeding and charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic violations. Although marijuana was also found in his possession, William Drayton (Flavor Flav)’s main crime was having 16 suspensions on his license, but was driving his black Hyundai way over the speed limit anyways. Police reports say that Flavor Flav was released to attend his mother’s funeral, after she died on New Year’s Eve, according to his Twitter account.

This is not the first time the rapper was busted with marijuana on his person, in 1996, he was arrested on bike with two pounds of marijuana jammed into his pockets. This time, the police reports states that Flavor Flav was only found with “a small amount” of the drug, and it’s unclear whether is he actually facing any drug related charges.

Mr. Drayton, who is now 54 and living in Las Vegas, is scheduled to go to court to address the current charges on January 28th.
