Malin Akerman Bares It All In Revealing People’s Choice Awards Dress

Malin Akerman left little to the imagination at the People’s Choice Awards, wearing a revealing outfit that showed off most of her chest.

The outfit got Malin a lot of attention from photographers and the press, although reviews on her dress itself were mixed.

The UK’s Mirror noted the revealing nature of Akerman’s dress:

“(The) actress even managed to frame her boobs to the point her outfit looked slightly ridiculous and put each of her breasts right out there. The boobs were framed by the black and white dress and ol’ Malin acted as if nothing had happened.”

Vicky Hyman of the Star-Ledger was a little more harsh, placing Malin Akerman among the worst dressed of the night:

“Let’s start our roundup of the worst dressed with Trophy Wife star Malin Akerman, whose Cushnie Et Ochs frock wasn’t low-cut so much as wide-cut. While the print was interesting, the dress was about a centimeter away from a wardrobe malfunction, and the geometry of the neckline was not pleasing (to anyone who is not a straight man, that is).”

Malik Akerman has noted that her looks have made it difficult for her to be taken seriously in Hollywood.

“I tend to get a lot of scripts in which people want me to play the trophy wife, which is frustrating because I want the interesting, meaty roles,” she said in 2009, before taking the role in Trophy Wife as Kate, a blonde who marries a man 20 years her senior.

But Malin noted that when the role for an actual trophy wife came along, she ended up changing her mind.

“And as I was reading it, I went, ‘Wait a second, she’s so not a trophy wife’. That’s sort of what you see from the outside, but as we get to know her she is this really cool girl who wants to be part of this family and is truly in love with Bradley Whitford’s character. So that’s what I liked about it. They really are in love. They’re really goofy together. They have a lot of fun.”
