Sarah Jessica Parker Hints At Third ‘Sex And The City’ Film
Sarah Jessica Parker has hinted at a third Sex and the City film.
The last time Parker played Carrie Bradshaw was in 2010’s Sex and the City 2. While the sequel received largely negative reviews, it grossed over $305 million at the worldwide box office. Its 2008 predecessor grossed over $415 million worldwide.
Parker said she thinks there is potential for Sex and the City 3.
“A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell,” the 48-year-old told InStyle.
“But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn’t a decision that can wait forever. I don’t want to have to wear muumuus!”
Back in December, Sarah Jessica Parker’s SATC co-star Kristin Davis also spoke about the possibility of another sequel.
“I don’t think [a third film] is a pipe dream, there is discussion,” Davis told Haute Living. “People talk about it amongst the people who are the players, but I don’t know if it will come together. It would be very exciting if it did.”
In August, Parker opened up about her marriage to Matthew Broderick. Although the couple have been married for over 15 years, they have managed to keep their relationship pretty private. Parker said that she loves her husband, with whom she has three children.
“Call me crazy, but I love him,” she said. “We can only be in the marriage we are. We’re very devoted to our family and our lives. I love our life. I love that he’s the father of my children, and it’s because of him that there’s this whole other world that I love.”
Prior to marrying Matthew Broderick, Sarah Jessica Parker dated Robert Downey Jr. for seven years after meeting on the set of Firstborn. Downey’s drug problem affected the couple’s relationship, and Parker once said, “I believed I was the person holding him together.”
