Justin Bieber And Selena Gomez Segway In Santa Cruz: Jelena Reunites

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have hit the road together. And the Segways came too.

The reunited couple — last seen riding Segways around the Canadian’s Calabasas, Calif., neighborhood, then snuggling together on Instagram — were spotted on motorized scooters over the weekend before hanging out at the Seascape Beach Resort in Aptos, Santa Cruz, Calif., on Monday, January 6.

Justin let fans know he was on the move but he didn’t reveal he was traveling with Selena.

“Good to be on the first break in a while. Spending some quality time with family,” he tweeted on Monday, after posting an idyllic scene to Instagram and a video of his father, Jeremy Bieber, falling off a Segway in a wooded surround.

On Tuesday, the playful heartthrob tweeted, “road trip. where am i?”

The answer, at least for the days beforehand, is a refreshingly low-key one.

A ranger at Santa Cruz’s Pogonip Park told local news outlet KSWB that Justin, Jeremy, and Selena, spent Monday riding Segways around the park.

Park rangers also gave the group private access to a nearby beach where the public aren’t normally allowed.

In addition, staff at a camp site on San Andreas Road near Sand Dollar Beach reveal Justin and co. camped out at the weekend.

“We were so very excited. He came Saturday night and left Sunday afternoon,” Michelle Roaring told KSWB. “He and his friend [were] riding his Segway through the campground and toward Manresa (State) Beach. It was the best thing ever.”

But it seems sleeping rough only works in small doses.

The trio reportedly checked into the Seascape Resort, where the daughters of Santa Cruz’s Deputy Chief of Police Steve Clark and another eyewitness later spotted Justin and Selena.

Responding to online rumors of Jelena’s arrival in Aptos, Courtney Clark, 17, and her sister Melissa Clark, 15, went driving in search, Santa Cruz Sentinel reports.

On Monday, around 10 pm, the siblings saw Bieber wearing a hoodie sweatshirt and shades while out walking with Gomez, who wore a blonde wig.

“They both had huge sunglasses on, it was obvious they were trying to hide who they were,” Melissa told KSBW.

The sisters said that when Justin and Selena realized they’d been rumbled, they ran into the Seascape Beach Resort laughing, causing Gomez’s wig to fall off as she ran.

The two fans said it looked like the 19-year-old and 21-year-old starlet had just returned from dinner to their hotel. The pair reportedly spent the rest of the night in their room and on their balcony.

A teenage girl and her friends also spotted the loved-up couple.

“We waited for a few hours and there was hotel security all over so I couldn’t go up to the door,” 16-year-old Lily Peters told Celebuzz.

“When we took the pathway down to the beach which leads behind the suites and walked for a few minutes and I noticed two people standing on what looked to be a balcony.”

“So we casually walked over and I noticed it was Selena. We got a little closer and I noticed the man who was standing with her, he put his arm over the railing and I knew it was Justin because I saw his tattoos. Then they noticed us, but they weren’t mad.”

“They hung out for another minute or so and then casually went inside,” Peters added.

A staff member at the resort told the Santa Cruz Sentinel, “He’s not here now,” when asked about Bieber whereabouts. The outlet also reports fans were seen driving around the resort on Tuesday trying to find the famous visitors.

After a dramatic year and recently wrapping his Believe Tour, Bieber is taking a break this year. He previously told USA TODAY one of the things he will be doing is working on his direction and sound as an artist. A new album is reportedly slated for the fourth quarter.

In December, Gomez canceled the Asia and Australia legs of her Stars Dance Tour citing a need to focus on herself. Unconfirmed reports that she has Lupus subsequently surfaced,

Despite a poor US box office for his concert-movie Believe and mixed news regarding his latest Journals album — Billboard reports it’s “selling well” on iTunes but it’s charted low in several countries; some music analysts think the 10-week pre-release is part of the reason — Bieber recently made the cut on Forbes’ “30 Under 30” list, billed as a compilation of the brightest and most influential young stars across 15 fields.

Meanwhile, Justin and Selena are evidently stepping out of the spotlight for a while, and back into their on-off, over three year relationship.
