Audrina Patridge Admits Her Reality Television Career Was Based On A Sham

Audrina Patridge became famous thanks to the MTV reality serie The Hills, but is now joining her former co-star in admitting the show was a sham.

The reality television star responded to accusations from former co-star Kristin Cavallari, who said that all of the drama on The Hills was created by producers.

Audrina agreed that it was fake, though it didn’t start out that way.

“In the beginning, a lot of it was real. As it went on, it was very manipulated and guided and you’re kinda put in these scenarios where you would show up and you didn’t know what you were in for until you were there, and you wanted to run out but they lock the door on you,” she said.

Back in December, Kristin admitted during an interview that what viewers saw on television wasn’t real at all.

“I had fake relationships, fake fights,” Cavallari said. “Here, I can tell you this I don’t care anymore at this point it’s been so many years. Brody Jenner at the time was dating Jayde Nicole, and if you don’t know who these people are this is going to go right over your head.”

Audrina Patridge remembers one of these fake fights.

“I actually had to leave early for another event, we were there for about three hours and they were like, ‘You can’t leave until you and Kristin get into a fight.’ So I’m like, ‘Oh my God, Kristin!’ Kristin’s like, ‘Let’s do it.’ I’m like, ‘OK, c’mon.’ It was about Justin [Bobby] and we did it and we got to leave. So, little things like that,” Patridge added.

Since The Hills ended, Audrina Patridge has continued to steal headlines with much of the same behavior that got her famous in the first place. Last year she was spotted in a tiny bikini while on vacation, and spoke out about her pride in showing some skin.

“I don’t even think twice about wearing a swimsuit because it’s always been a part of my lifestyle…but I have girlfriends who are so afraid to show their bodies. They won’t take off their towels at the beach or pool. It’s a shame because everyone can look good in a suit.”

Today, Audrina Patridge bills herself as an actress and model, and recently released a 2013 calender featuring skimpy images of herself.
