Kellan Lutz Addresses Rumors That He Is Dating Miley Cyrus

Kellan Lutz is addressing the rumors that he and Miley Cyrus are dating, saying he finds them “hilarious.”

During a call to the On Air With Ryan Seacrest Radio Show to discuss his upcoming role in the movie The Legend Of Hercules, the topic of his romantic life came up, after rumors swirled on the internet that he was dating the “Wrecking Ball” singer.

“These rumors are hilarious,”Kellan told Seacrest. “It just makes me laugh (…) I’ve been friends with Miley for like six years. She’s a great girl … we are friends [and] we run in the same circle.”

Kellan Lutz was in a complimentary mood when it came to his friend and denied that any romantic involvement is happening between the two:

“Are we dating? No.” the former Twilight star says.

Kellan Lutz comments that he thinks Miley Cyrus is a “cool, secure woman,” but they are only friends. So that takes care of the rumors right there.

Goes to show you can’t really trust “eyewitnesses” who said the couple was seen “making out” last month, during an outing in Miami, which both attended.

One of the sources even said the two “didn’t seem to care who was watching,” adding, “It wasn’t a secret that they were together.” Hmmmm.

“I’m happily single (…) I’m not [looking for a relationship] right now. I’m enjoying life and traveling quite a bit(…)there’s no real time to find the one.” Kellan Lutz said of his current relationship status.

The 28-year-old actor is currently involved in promoting The Legend Of Hercules set to open on January 10 and also starring Liam Garrigan, Scott Adkins, and Gaia Weiss.

Kellan Lutz has been cast in the title role as the iconic ancient hero and couldn’t be more thrilled:

“As a young boy, I always had the dream of being Hercules. He’s the epic hero. He’s the original hero. For me, as I became an actor, that childhood dream could come to life. I went out for Thor, and Chris Hemsworth got it, but he is Thor. I got pretty close for Captain America, but Chris Evans got it, and he deserves it. He is Captain America.”

“I’m happy for them. I don’t get competitive. I do my best. If I get something, then it was meant to be. If I don’t, then it wasn’t.”

Kellan Lutz says that director Renny Harlin saw his passion for Hercules, someone he always admired, but admitted filming was challenging especially when it came to getting used to horseback riding on a daily basis.

“They’re spirits, so you really want to talk to them and spend time with them, and not just hop on. You want to warm the car up a little bit, and not just race it. I got kicked off, quite a bit, but you just get back on.” Kellan Lutz said.
