Emma Roberts, Evan Peters Engaged, But Julia Roberts Frets Over Niece

Today we got to see Emma Roberts, Evan Peters engaged! Despite the good news, Julia Roberts still fretting over her niece.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Emma Roberts is famous for her role in American Horror Story as Madison, and she just happens to co-star with her fiancee.

26-year-old Evan popped the question in New York City over the holidays. Emma Roberts’ engagement ring is said to be pink and gold with diamonds. They then flew to London for New Year’s Eve in order to celebrate. So far there’s no word on Emma Roberts’ wedding plans.

Before we saw Emma Roberts engaged, some people wondered if the relationship would even last at all. Emma was arrested during the summer of 2013 in a case of domestic violence against her boyfriend. They supposedly were both hitting each other but she left Evan with a bite mark and covered in blood from a punched nose. This wasn’t a rehearsal gone wrong for a future vampire role, although they did quickly forgive each other and no charges were pressed.

Unfortunately, Emma Roberts’ behavior caused even her friends to claim she’d be the next Lindsay Lohan. They claimed she was partying way too hard in the club scene and that’s how the dispute started in the first place. It was even rumored that Jennifer Aniston was upset with Emma over her behavior:

“Jen totally disapproves of Emma’s hard partying and public blowups. She’s even told Emma that unless she shapes up, she may not be invited back for a possible Millers sequel.”

Roberts, for her part, pretended nothing had happened and the controversy went away with it. Still, that doesn’t prevent Julia Roberts from fretting over how her niece is growing up:

“When (Emma) comes to stay with us, I always think, ‘Please let her be the same’ _ and she is still the same magical girl she used to be. I think so much of it has to do with your intentions in taking on a business like this. If you have a pure view of what you want to accomplish, I think you can maintain your sense of self.”

Julia thinks she had it easier since she grew up when “nobody expected me to be anybody but myself, really.” Nowadays, starlets like Emma are expected to go through media training and endure an even higher level intrusion into their privacy due to the internet.
