‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ Is Most Anticipated Film Of 2014
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 tops Fandango’s most anticipated films of 2014, followed by The Hobbit: Here And Back Again, the conclusion of Peter Jackson’s trilogy.
With the success of The Hunger Games franchise it is no surprise that fans and critics alike are more than ready to see the first part of the last chapter in the saga.
Added to the desire to see the story develop is the Jennifer Lawrence factor.
With her good looks, down to earth personality, and great sense of humor, 23-year-old Jennifer Lawrence has quickly become America’s darling and one of the favorite stars to grace the silver screen, capturing hearts all around the world.
People can’t seem to get enough of the Hunger Games star and that includes her co-stars who sing her praises at any opportunity.
In their yearly poll, Fandango asked followers to rate which movies they are most looking forward to in this new year and to no one’s surprise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 was the clear winner.
Following The Hunger Games is another film that has done very well in its first two installments, The Hobbit, which is preparing to end the Middle Earth saga in December of 2014 with its last installment, There And Back Again.
The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug has ruled the box office in recent weeks, after becoming the best December opening ever.
The website summarized the poll results like this:
“With Jennifer Lawrence’s appeal at all all-time high, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 will be the movie to beat at the 2014 box office. Last year, she won an Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook and starred in Fandango’s top-selling movie of all time, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. This year, she stars in 2014’s most anticipated movie, Mockingjay, co-stars in the year’s third most anticipated movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and is topping Oscar buzz for her supporting performance in American Hustle. Every actor dreams of having a career like the one that Jennifer is enjoying right now.”
And not only is The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 THE movie to beat in 2014, Jennifer Lawrence also tops the poll as the Sexiest Woman in Movies for 2014, alongside Ryan Gosling in the male category.
In last year’s poll, users also voted The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as their most anticipated film of 2013.
