Bigg Boss 7: Salman Khan May Be Gone After This Season
Bigg Boss 7 could be the end of a long run for Salman Khan, who let it slip that he might be gone as host of the popular reality show next season.
The revelation came during a conversation between between actors Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra, who were on the show to promote their project Hasee Toh Phasee. Parineeti said she planned on returning to the show to promote her next movie, but Salman said that by that time there could be a new Bigg Boss host.
Bigg Boss 7 marks Khan’s fourth season with the show, though he has long been plagued by rumors that he will leave as host.
But at the same time the rumors are swirling that Salman Khan will leave after Bigg Boss 7, others rumors say he will return to actually produce the eighth season of the show. So that may be what he meant by a new host.
This season of Bigg Boss has been filled with drama and controversial moments. Earlier this season contestant Kushal Tandon was expelled from the show after being to aggressive with a fellow contestant. He later returned, but there were still rumors of tension between Kushal and some of the show’s insiders.
“There have been a lot of reports hinting at simmering issues between Kushal and the host of the show, Salman Khan,” a source said. “Kushal’s quotes were tweaked and were presented in a manner that made it look like the actor was trying to cash in on the controversy. However, that’s not true. Salman is never involved in the entries and exit during the course of the show. His entry is expected to bring the much needed energy inside the house.”
This last week Kushal Tandon left Bigg Boss 7 again and Armaan Kohli re-entered the house after contestant Sofia Hayat filed a complaint against the actor for assault and defamation. He made bail and returned, though women’s rights groups staged protests about his return. He didn’t stay long, however, being evicted on Saturday night.
