Katy Perry Teases Possible Collaboration With Rihanna
Katy Perry recently teased a possible collaboration with fellow pop star Rihanna.
During her appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, the “Roar” singer answered a handful of questions from callers. One inquisitive individual wanted to know if Perry was putting something together with Rihanna. Although she didn’t offer up any concrete details, she said the idea wasn’t entirely far-fetched.
“We’ve actually been talking about it for years, so we can’t let anyone down. We have to do the best song ever. Beyond that, I think we’ll definitely get around to it and when it happens, you are going to know,” Katy Perry explained during her chat.
Perry told Elle Canada that she absolutely loves Rihanna and often wonders how she manages to look so fantastic all the time. She was particularly curious about how the singer accomplishes this feat given her penchant for smoking quite a bit of marijuana.
“I think that Rihanna always looks so fresh and I’m like, ‘How do you do that? We all know how much pot you smoke! And you don’t sleep because you’re on Instagram at four o’clock in the morning,” Perry joked.
Her possible duet with Rihanna wasn’t the only question Perry fielded during her appearance on Seacrest’s program. One fan wanted to know what Katy thought about Selena Gomez recently covering “Roar.” Although Perry hadn’t heard the Spring Breakers star’s rendition of the tune, she seemed pretty excited by the whole thing.
“I had heard she covered it and I was very flattered. I like her a lot. We send each other nice text messages very once in a while and I think she’s a very sweetheart of a girl and I like that she’s doing it!” the singer explained.
The conversation soon turned towards New Years resolutions. Although a lot of folks put together a list of stuff they’d like to change in their lives, Katy Perry said she really doesn’t bother with such things. If she sees a problem in her life, then she addresses it immediately.
“If I need to change something, I feel like I just change it. Like, I just make the change that day. It doesn’t have to be the pressure of January 1 because it feels like you’re setting yourself up. But you know, you do you and I’ll do me!” she explained.
