Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Sabotage is out to prove that the aging actor and former “governator” can still portray an action hero. When he said “ I’ll be back ,” he obviously meant it in several ways.
Back in the days of Predator and The Terminator , it seemed as though Arnold could do no wrong. He couldn’t appear in a movie without it gaining an instant audience. In this way, it appears that Dwayne Johnson took over as the tough guy who never seems to sleep.
After being elected as the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger faded from the movie spotlight for a while. Even while he was in charge of California, Arnold still found time to appear in films such as Terminator 3 . Sadly, it wasn’t his greatest moment in history.
Having stepped down from office, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Sabotage trailer (above) is proof that he is far from finished with the action film genre. Although he has slowed down physically, he knows his name will still sell the tickets.
His first big comeback role was in The Expendables , with a cameo featuring Bruce Willis where Arnold’s real life gets poked fun at. After his role was expanded in The Expendables 2 , he went on to other new action films like Escape Plan (with fellow headliner Sylvester Stallone) and The Last Stand , as well as his own take on the zombie genre, Maggie .
Even though his age is starting to show much more than before, it doesn’t look like Arnold is even close to stopping.
Sabotage is about a group of elite DEA agents taking on the world’s deadliest drug cartels. After a long string of successful take-downs, someone deliberately sets them up for a fall. After John Wharton’s (Arnold Schwarzenegger) family is kidnapped, he vows to make it personal. First he has to figure out which member of his own crew did it, because he’s sure it was an inside job.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Sabotage will also star Olivia Williams, Sam Worthington, and Terrence Howard, and is slated to hit theaters April 11, 2014.
