Christina Applegate Is Creeped Out By Christmas Songs

Christina Applegate is currently promoting the latest installment to the Anchorman series. This week she went on Conan’s late night show to talk about Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, but the two mostly got caught up in awkward gab about the holidays, because tis the season for funny segments about celebrities celebrating the holidays. Going against the grain of the usual efforts made on behalf of celebrities to make themselves look normal, Applegate went on a hilarious rant about how creepy she thinks holiday songs are.

For those of you that missed it Applegate has a very unique take on some of the old holiday songs that have made it as staples every year. The song Applegate targeted was “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause” which tells the story of a child spying on Santa in the middle of the night, and catches her mother in an intimate moment with her father also known as, Santa.

Of the odd song Applegate said:

“There’s strange lyrics sometimes that don’t make sense to me. The one that freaks me out is I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause because she’s such a sk–k. What a sk–k.”

So why does she think that so ill of the mother in “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause”? Well, Applegate kind of puts it all into perspective in the only way she knows how to, and we have to admit that it’s pretty perfect and justified:

“There’s no indication that it’s Daddy kissing Santa Clause, she’s just a sk–ky h-e. There’s a little known lyric that got left out, about her grabbing his b—s. It’s true! Google it. I’m telling you.”

Of course this is all said with one big wink. Prior to the segment on the holidays, Conan and Christina Applegate spoke about awkward headlines published next to seemingly normal red carpet pictures. Applegate as well as Conan were amused that her last red carpet photo at the London premiere for Anchorman 2 was branded with the headline “Inbreds in the outback.”
