‘How I Met Your Mother’ End Date Revealed
How I Met Your Mother’s end date has finally been revealed, and it’s final ever episode will actually air a little bit earlier than you might have predicted.
CBS have announced that after 208 episodes over nine seasons, the long, meandering tale of how Ted Mosby meets the mother of his children will conclude with a one-hour series finale on March 31, 2014.
At the end of season eight the audience learned that Josh Radnor’s architect would end up with Cristin Milioti, who was shown carrying a bass while holding a yellow umbrella as she boarded a train to Farhampton, where he eventually meets his wife.
How I Met Your Mother, which was created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, has developed into one of the network’s most reliable shows. It often draws in an audience of around nine million viewers, while its most popular ever instalment was actually watched by 12.3 million individuals.
It’s also not fared too badly on the awards front too. Over its runs How I Met Your Mother has bagged 72 nominations at various events, winning 18. This includes 28 Emmy nods, and in 2012 it was also names as People’s Choice’s favorite TV comedy.
CBS also took this time to mention that immediately after the conclusion of How I Met Your Mother, the special premiere of Friends With Better Lives will be aired.
Kevin Connolly, Brooklyn Decker, Zoe Lister Jones and James Van Der Beek head the new show’s all-star cast, which will follow six friends as they deal with the various problems that accompany modern relationships.

However, inconsolable How I Met Your Mother fans who are apoplectic that the sitcom’s end date is on the horizon should dry those tears, because don’t forget that CBS, alongside the show’s creators, on a spinoff entitled, How I Met Your Dad.
Ted, Barney, Marshall, Lily, and Robin won’t feature in it at all, but MacLaren’s pub, where the fivesome often meet for a drink or two, will feature prominently.
