Chris Brown has been granted a day off from his California rehab center for a worthy cause, TMZ is reporting exclusively.
The troubled singer will be co-hosting a holiday toy drive on Sunday, which has been deemed a good way for Brown to progress in his treatment.
Brooklyn Projects skateboard firm and Brown’s clothing company, Black Pyramid, are joining forces to bring some holiday cheer to underprivileged kids before Christmas.
Last month, a judge overseeing Chris Brown’s probation learned that he had been kicked out of another rehab center in Malibu after allegedly throwing a rock through his mother’s car window.
TMZ reports that Chris Brown’s on-and-off girlfriend, Karreuche Tran, who has helped create some items for Black Pyramid, will accompany her beau on the special outing, which she has been promoting on her Twitter.
She shared a poster of the Sunday charity event on her Instagram.
The poster of the event, which will take place in the posh Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, says those attending can meet Chris Brown when they bring one brand new, unwrapped gift for the toy drive.
The website reports that Brown and his girlfriend will be the main attraction and mingle with those contributing to their cause.
Chris Brown’s problems stem from his brutal attack of then-superstar-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 in which she was left with bruises to her face.
Ever since the violent events Chris Brown has been dealing with several issues involving his behavior and has been rumored to be dating the singer he so viciously attacked four years ago.
On Monday, The Inquisitr reported Chris Brown had his probation revoked after a judge ruled that a misdemeanor assault charge relating to yet another fight in Washington, D.C. violated the terms of his freedom. He has pleaded not guilty in the case.
