Robin Wright Engaged To Toyboy Actor
Robin Wright is engaged to Ben Foster, an actor who is 14 years younger than Sean Penn’s ex-wife.
47-year-old Wright and Penn’s divorce was finalized over three years ago, but her time with the two time Oscar-winning thespian clearly hasn’t stemmed her passion for further nuptials.
Wright is believed to have been dating the 33-year-old since they first met in 2011, and the House Of Cards actress has recently been spotted cuddling up to him at numerous events.
The duo met on the set of Rampart, a year and a half after Wright had separated from her 20-year marriage with Penn. Their romance is believed to have developed quickly, and a source opened up with further details of their impending service to Life & Style.
An insider told the publication, “She’s been talking all about her upcoming wedding and how excited she is for it.”
In the past, Foster has dated the likes of Kirsten Dunst, Ellen Page, and Zoe Kravitz, but this will be his first marriage. For Wright, it will be her third as she was also married to actor Dane Witherspoon before her time with Penn.
Penn and Robin started their courtship just after he had split from his first wife, Madonna, back in 1989. After seven years together, they finally decided to tie the knot. The pair have two children together; 22-year-old Dylan and 20-year-old Hopper.
However, their marriage began to crumble in 2006, and in December 2007 Penn and Wright decided to file for divorce only to then withdraw their plea in April 2008.
Exactly a year later the pair were at it again, as Sean sought a legal separation only to change his mind in May, just a month after he’d devised his scheme to part from his second-wife.
However, the pair finally filed for divorce in August 2009, and it was ultimately finalized on July 22, 2010.
Back in 2011, Wright discussed the split, stating, “It’s like the high tide, low tide, right? You know it’s going to happen daily – you’re just not quite sure if the Weather Channel was accurate with the times. That’s where the unknowingness flows in and you go, ‘Okay, I have to relax and just give over to it’.”
53-year-old Penn also spoke about his life with Wright too, teasing, “There is no shame in saying that we all want to be loved by someone. I have been the only one that was unaware of the fraud in a few of these circumstances blindly.”
