Whitney Houston back in rehab, banned from Prince shows
When divas collide, this is the result.
Whitney Houston, who has seen somewhat of a decline in fanbase in recent years due to several disastrous shows and criticism that her voice has not held up over the years, is banned from Prince shows, says TMZ. The artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince is tired of the has-been‘s demands and attitude, the gossip site contends, as well as her attempts to get up on stage with the other 80’s icon:
According to our Prince sources, Whitney attended several Prince concerts in the last few weeks and appeared to be “intoxicated” at each show — though our sources never saw Whitney drink alcohol or take drugs.
We’re told Whitney was constantly badgering Prince’s staff to let her up on the stage … but Team Prince shot her down every time because P’s people “didn’t want her to embarrass herself.”
Our sources say Whitney’s erratic behavior, coupled with repeated and excessive ticket demands became too much for Prince — and his team ultimately banned Houston from his concerts.
This comes on the heels of news that Houston is currently in outpatient rehab– she’s allowed to leave, but only with a “monitor.” Flak for the singer did not disclose why she is receiving treatment, but her struggles with substances in the past are well-known.
