Kim Kardashian Lashes Back At ‘Sick’ Suggestions She Waxed North West’s Eyebrows
Kim Kardashian is lashing back at critics who suggested that she waxed daughter North West’s eyebrows.
Kardashian posted a close-up of the six-month-old on Twitter Monday, and some users pointed out that the baby girl’s eyebrows seemed a little too groomed when compared to another recent picture. Others suggested that they were plucked or Photoshopped.
Tuesday, the 33-year-old joked that North still had a couple of years left before she would wax her eyebrows.
Kardashian wrote, “Do people really think I would wax my daughter’s eyebrows so young? Come on, I’d wait until she’s at least 2 1/2!”
Two minutes later, the reality star added, “I’m kidding!!! It’s pretty sick for people to insinuate that I would wax my daughter’s eyebrows. They are thick, natural, and amazing!”
The suggestions that Kim Kardashian waxed or otherwise groomed North West’s eyebrows drew comparisons to Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham, who came under fire earlier this year when she admitted that she plucked her 3-year-old daughter’s eyebrows while she was sleeping. The 22-year-old said she did the right thing because of comments that were being made about her daughter’s unibrow.
“People just kept commenting on a unibrow,” Abraham said. “And I was like, maybe I am letting it go too far.” She confessed that her daughter, Sophia, “freaked out,” when she put wax on her eyebrows, so she decided to pluck them while she slept.
“If I can help my daughter in a little way by just plucking a few hairs… I think I did something right,” she said. Abraham also wrote on Twitter “unibrows are not sacred” and to “tweeze no matter what age.”
Kim Kardashian previously came under fire for not being photographed with North West more often. A Twitter user claimed that Kardashian never spends time with her daughter, which the first-time mother denied.
“U sound so ignorant. Bc I don’t tweet or instagram my every move w my daughter means I am not with her 247? We share what we want,” she replied.
